Chicken Soup for the Soul a la Skype

I tried to brighten the walk I was forced to take because of lack of public transit by calling a friend on Skype. She would often do this whenever she was walking anywhere, so I thought I’d do that for a change. She was unavailable at the time, and did not answer the call, so I was left to trudging through the snow accompanied by my thoughts. An hour later she called back when I was in the middle of studying. It brightened my afternoon to have a few minutes to act silly with her with some nonsense jokes and to share a few laughs. I always refer to these moments with her as “chicken soup for the soul” because it warms me up to have a few minutes to share with a best friend.
