I’ve been able to get adequate sleep while staying with my friend in NY. It’s been bliss tucking in before midnight and taking my time getting up in the morning! I’m properly recharging for the final stretch of the semester.
…I went to sleep before 10 pm and had at least 7 solid hours of sleep. I was overloaded by the stress of the whole week and by lack of sleep, which brought down my mood and turned me into a Debbie Downer. I tucked myself into bed soon after coming home, and woke up to my Michael Buble Pandora Station feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, despite the fact that it was 6am, dark, and I had to finish a paper. My roommate was glad and relieved to see that the happier version of me was back. Now that I’ve regained my energy and some optimism, on to tackling the upcoming projects!
There’s nothing like letting yourself to sleep in on a Sunday morning, and to continue snuggling under your covers as you slowly allow yourself to wake up.
